Adding a Life Insurance Policy

How to add a whole life or IUL policy and track your cash value growth.

Adding a policy

  1. Click IBC Policies in the sidebar
  2. Click + Add Policy
  3. Fill in the details from your policy illustration or latest annual statement
  4. Key fields

    • Policy Name — a label for your own reference
    • Carrier — the insurance company (e.g., Mutual of Omaha, Penn Mutual)
    • Policy Number — found on your policy documents
    • Policy Type — Whole Life, Universal Life, or Variable Universal Life
    • Cash Value — current accumulated cash value
    • Death Benefit — current death benefit amount
    • Monthly Premium — what you pay each month
    • Paid-Up Additions (PUA) — the extra premium directed at the PUA rider to turbocharge growth

    Optional fields

    • Base Premium — the base-only portion (without PUA)
    • PUA End Year — the policy year when PUA payments stop
    • Policy Start Date — when the policy was issued
    • Representative Info — your agent's contact details
    • Statement Frequency — how often you receive statements
