Adding a Life Insurance Policy
How to add a whole life or IUL policy and track your cash value growth.
Adding a policy
- Click IBC Policies in the sidebar
- Click + Add Policy
- Fill in the details from your policy illustration or latest annual statement
- Policy Name — a label for your own reference
- Carrier — the insurance company (e.g., Mutual of Omaha, Penn Mutual)
- Policy Number — found on your policy documents
- Policy Type — Whole Life, Universal Life, or Variable Universal Life
- Cash Value — current accumulated cash value
- Death Benefit — current death benefit amount
- Monthly Premium — what you pay each month
- Paid-Up Additions (PUA) — the extra premium directed at the PUA rider to turbocharge growth
- Base Premium — the base-only portion (without PUA)
- PUA End Year — the policy year when PUA payments stop
- Policy Start Date — when the policy was issued
- Representative Info — your agent's contact details
- Statement Frequency — how often you receive statements
